Agriculture Science Teacher with an emphasis in Agriculture Mechanics



Anderson-Shiro CISD is looking for a highly motivated teacher with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills for a highly competitive growing Ag program.  The Agriculture Science Teacher is expected to possess strong classroom and lab management skills and provide quality instruction in the area of Agriculture Mechanics.  The teacher is expected to have experience in Agricultural Mechanics Contests; supervise Agricultural experience projects with emphasis on Ag mechanics at county and major stock shows; be willing to supervise other animal projects at county and major shows; be willing to train Leadership Development Events teams; train Career Development Events teams with emphasis on Tractor Tech and Ag Mechanics; attend FFA contests, Leadership camps and Conventions when necessary; and serve as an additional FFA Advisor.  Trucks and trailers are shared with other teachers for school use.  ASCISD FFA program is VERY active with great student numbers.  Our program is a 3-teacher department.
12-Month 226-day contract with a $7,000 stipend



Valid CDL with P&S endorsement, or be willing to obtain ASAP
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
